A 90th minute equaliser from substitute Manolo Gabbiadini recused a point for Southampton as they climbed out of the Premier League relegation zone with a draw away to Burnley.
The Clarets were heading for all three points thanks to Ashley Barnes after he bundled in on 67 minutes. A terrific save from Nick Pope to deny Josh Sims was one of the games few highlights.
However Italy international Gabbiadini volleyed home from a Guido Carillo knockdown to salvage a vital point for the Saints.
Referee Bobby Madley had a controversial game and was booed of at Turf Moor after failing to spot Saints keeper Alex McCarthy handle outside of his area and then inadvertently impeding Burnley’s Ashley Westwood in the build up to Gabbiadini’s late leveller.
