Sam Vokes
The Welshman may not of scored since his match-winner against the Saints way back in November, but that doesn’t make him any less of a threat.
The Southampton-born forward has made it clear that he’d like to upstage his Saints-supporting father, and he’s just the type of striker to cause their defence problems. Vokes is physical, an excellent target man and strong in the air – all characteristics which the Saints’ backline struggle with.
Jack Stephens still isn’t strong enough in the air and if the 28-year-old starts, expect him to target the English centre-back when making his runs.
Thankfully Alex McCarthy will almost certainly start in goal for the away side – but the Saints still aren’t keeping many clean sheets with him in net either.
Southampton must be way of the threat he poses despite his modest goal record this campaign.
