Josh Sims
Despite only being on the pitch for the last 20 minutes or so, Sims was arguably Man of the Match with an impressive, direct effort in the last portion of the game.
Sims made positive runs throughout the remainder of the game, with his work coming down either flank too. The youngster had a golden chance to score his first senior goal when he cut in from the left-hand side and send a curling shot towards the Burnley net – he was denied by a spectacular save from Nick Pope.
With the game nearing it’s end, Sims providing a superb cross which found Guido Carrillo at the back post – his resulting knock-down found Gabbiadini who duly finished.
The 20-year-old will have given Mauricio Pellegrino a serious selection headache going into next week’s vital clash with Stoke.
