Charlie Austin

Despite being out for as long as three months, Austin played an impressive 82 minutes on his first-team return after suffering an injury over the festive period.

The forward looked lively and had more shots than any other Southampton player, albeit with none of them testing the West Ham goalkeeper.

Austin’s goal-threat however looks much better than that of Guido Carrillo’s with the Argentine still yet to find the back of the net since his record move from Monaco.

Positives can be drawn from the Englishman’s return and he’ll hope to kick on in the coming games.
