Where has Cedric gone?

Throughout this dismal season, Cedric has been a consistent bright spark. Being capable of playing both right back in a defensive four, or right wing back in a back five, Cedric’s high flying overlapping runs from defence have proved difficult to defend for some teams.

However, in the last handful of games, we have seen a completely new side of the Portuguese native. He has shied away from the situation Saints find themselves in, and this was more notable then ever on Sunday.

In the first half, he barely left our half, when he should’ve been joining the attack and offering another outlet pass.

Even if he doesn’t want to play at Saints after this season, he will still need to improve his performances before the season is over, and get back to the form that everyone knows that he is capable of which could help Saints stay in the Premier League.
