Southampton 2-1 Bournemouth: Three key players
By Marc Walker
Dusan Tadic
Fantastic. This was the old Tadic again and not the one we have seen for much of the last two years.
He seems to have been given a new lease of life under Mark Hughes; possibly even given more freedom after two defensively minded managers in Puel and Pellegrino.
The Serbian scored two goals to win the most vital match of the season for Saints. His first saw him break fast alongside Mario Lemina and finish coolly after receiving a pass from his teammate.
The 54th minute saw the best piece of quality of the match. Tadic stole the ball on the halfway line, drove purposely towards goal and smashed his shot into the corner with the outside of his foot.
