Theo Walcott

A man the Saints were very-publicly targeting in Janauary, Theo Walcott is a pacey and direct player who can cause damage to just about any team in the league on his day.

The Englishman has been involved in six goals in 13 appearances since his winter move from Arsenal, a fair return considering Everton have only scored more than two goals on one occasion since the turn of the year.

Walcott’s speed has the potential to seriously hurt the Saints on the counter-attack, especially with both full-backs often pushing forward to aid Southampton’s own forward play. Although he can sometimes be one-dimensional, the 29-year-old is often composed when clean through on goal thanks to nearly 125 career goals.
