There were mixed emotions in the Saints camp at Goodinson Park on Saturday evening following a 1-1 draw with Everton.

After conceding an equaliser in the 96th minute, morale was deflated, however the draw does take Southampton out of the bottom three after Swansea’s loss at Bournemouth.

The Saints face the Welsh side his Tuesday knowing it’ll be a case of ‘winner takes all’ – if Southampton win their superior goal difference should see them to safety whilst a defeat would require them to produce a result against Champions Manchester City.

Despite the heartbreak and disappointment, the Saints once again played well as they have done in recent weeks, which bodes well going into the final seven days of the campaign.

After the result, Southampton’s fate is in their own hands so who were the standout men in Merseyside and who disappointed?
