Yesterday afternoon Southampton drew 1-1 with Everton after the Toffees scored with 96 minutes on the clock.

It was a tense affair for the away size, who after earlier results knew that a positive outcome would see the Saints climb out of the bottom three.

Mark Hughes’ side eventually took the lead as Nathan Redmond scored his first of the campaign with a superb far-post header not long after the restart.

Following the substitution of Oumar Niasse the home side became much more threatening, with Cenk Tosun having previously been very isolated. After a sustained spell of Everton pressure, the Toffees scored with the last kick of the game – a deflected effort from Tom Davies.

But what talking points can be drawn from the point earned?
