Another crucial summer on the way

Another transfer window that will be key for the club is upcoming.

Rumours of various departures from the squad have rumbled throughout the season. Ryan Bertrand, Swansea goal hero Manolo Gabbiadini and Dusan Tadic are just a few to have been linked away from the club.

Potential departures will only add to the work that the board have on their hands already, with defensive and attacking areas in need of strengthening in January anyway.

Although they need to be held accountable and apologise for a poor spell for the club, this summer provides an opportunity for the board and recruitment team to get it right for once in a long while.
