Southampton’s 2017/18 season concluded yesterday afternoon, as a late Gabriel Jesus goal saw champions Manchester City to a dramatic late win.

For the Saints though, the result didn’t have a great affect on the day’s proceedings, with Stoke City beating Swansea which confirmed Southampton’s status as a Premier League side. For City however, it meant they became the first team to achieve 100 points in the Premier League era whilst also going on to record a undisputed 32 wins.

Pre-Mark Hughes, Premier League safety seemed totally out of the question, with the Saints five points adrift of 17th with games against two of London’s biggest clubs and yesterday’s clash with the champions.

However, several players stepped up in the past few games and the Saints went on to beat Bournemouth and Swansea either side of drawing with Everton – this was enough for the south coast side to stay in the top flight.

So, what ratings do each of the Saints’ stars deserve from the final-day performance against City?
