Ruben Loftus-Cheek (Chelsea/Crystal Palace)

The Chelsea man spent the season out-on-loan to fellow Premier League outfit Crystal Palace, where he notched two goals and four assist for the Eagles to help them stray away from the relegation and finish around the mid table places, he was notably a stand out player, later being selected for the England World Cup squad last week.

Though Southampton already posses a player of similar trait in Mario Lemina, the 22-year-old would still be a decent signing due to his explosiveness and versatility, Loftus-Cheek having featured all across the midfield in this season just past and also having strong finishing and dribbling ability according to Whoscored.com, therefore someone who could help unpick defensive teams – also replacing Dusan Tadic in the left and attacking midfield positions.

Transfermarkt currently value the player at about seven million (8M Euro), though being a young English player, and having made the England squad, doubling that prize would be more realistic. On return to Chelsea, it could be likely he’ll not be required and therefore could be available on a permanent deal.
