Kwadwo Asamosh (Free Agent / Juventus)

This is my slightly left-field option, Southampton may well lose Ryan Bertrand this summer but have a good understudy in Matt Targett, but is he ready for a full season as first choice left-back?

If Bertrand was to leave the south coast a move for ex-Juventus and now free agent Kwadwo Asamoah would make sense. He could play the majority of games but wouldn’t be blocking Targets progression following his superb loan spell at Playoff winners Fulham.

Asamoah can also play in numerous positions including  left-back, left-midfield and centre-midfield. The Saints wouldn’t have to pay a fee and could sign the 29-year-old Ghanaian to a shorter term contract while Targett develops further.
