Adama Traore

The second Spaniard to make this list, Adama Traore currently plies his trade with Middlesbrough in the Championship, a team he has played with since 2016 – the 22-year-old has been playing in English since the year before however, as he first joined Aston Villa in 2015.

Cited by my Co-Expert Marc Walker in his 2018 Summer Wishlist, Traore could be an excellent signing by the Saints, with the winger’s ability now far superior to the second flight – with Boro missing out on promotion back to the Premier League, it may be wise for the Spaniard to move.

Much like Deulofeu, Traore is a product of Barcelona’s famed academy means he brings a great pedigree with him and despite being around for a few years, he still has bags of potential.

He tallied up ten assists in the Championship last campaign but has sadly always been a bit shy of goals, averaging just one in ten for his whole career. However, last season he scored five, the most he has put home since his time with Barcelona ‘B’. He’d prove a risky investment, but one which could pay off.
