2. James Ward-Prowse vs Watford

This was the 23-year-old’s third goal in a week and one of his five overall during 2017/18.

Shane Long and Dusan Tadic were also heavily involved here as Saints produced a devastating counter-attack to put them 2-0 up at Vicarage Road.

Long received the ball on the left wing by the touchline before showing incredible pace to power his way towards the box. He found Tadic in space centrally, and the Serbian’s layoff was perfect for Ward-Prowse to side-foot home.

Controversy was to follow though as Watford pulled the game back to 2-2 with a blatant handball from Abdoulaye Doucoure.

This was one of the few occasions where the whole team seemed to click and produce the attractive play they are capable of.
