Duvan Zapata

According to Italian publication Gazza Mercato, Colombian striker Zapata could make the move to St Mary’s.

He is currently a Napoli player but spent last season on loan at fellow Serie A outfit Sampdoria, where he bagged 11 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions.

The 27-year-old is regarded as a physical threat up front and plays in the role of a target man; giving teammates a focal point to work from in matches.

It is understood that Premier League rivals West Ham are interested in the player and that Villarreal are also monitoring his situation.
