Bertrand Traore

With Elyounoussi capable of playing on either side due to being efficient with both feet but most likely going to start down the left, there’s no reason why Boufal’s replacement can’t be right-sided unlike the Moroccan.

Bertrand Traore was someone who I voiced as possible transfer target back in the summer of 2017, however Chelsea eventually sold the attacker to Lyon in a relatively cheap £8 million deal.

In his first season in France, the 22-year-old was directly involved in 17 goals with four of those being assists, showing that he has an ability to score from out wide – he is versatile too, and can play as a #9 when needed.

Thanks to market inflation and another solid return in goals to add to what he got at Ajax the year before, it’s only natural that Lyon would demand a fee at least twice what they paid Chelsea for his services last summer.
