Dani Osvaldo

The Italian international arrived with a big reputation after his reported £15m transfer from Serie A club Roma.

It looked as though he was slowly adjusting to life in England and was beginning to repay the faith that Mauricio Pochettino had put in him. He will be best remembered for an amazing goal against Manchester City as he lofted the ball into the top corner from outside the box.

However, he soon became a problem maker at the club. He received a three match ban after being found guilty of violent conduct in a match against Newcastle United and was then suspended by the Saints for fighting Jose Fonte in training.

Eventually his contract was terminated, and he has since retired from football to focus on his music career…bizarre!
