Southampton triumphed 2-0 over French Ligue 1 side Dijon FCO this afternoon in what was their fourth pre-season friendly.

An improved Southampton display and goals from strikers Shane Long and Manolo Gabbiadini saw Mark Hughes’ side show some progress after last weekend’s 3-0 loss to Derby County.

The game marked the end of the team’s week-long training camp in France and they now return to England to play two further pre-season games before the Premier League begins.
