The former-England international recently joined Burnley this week, in amongst a goalkeeper crisis at the club and with a massive point to prove in between the sticks.

To say that the past few years have been difficult for Joe Hart would be a massive understatement – the Shrewsbury-born player was essentially forced out of Manchester City by manager Pep Guardiola for not possessing the passing qualities the Spaniard wanted, and since has spent his time out on loan at the likes of Torino and West Ham.

Though neither spell did the goalkeeper any favours, the language barrier in Italy was too much to cope for Hart and whilst at West Ham, he was pipped to the first-team by Adrian, who was thought to be superior to him on his arrival last summer – furthermore losing out on a spot in England’s World Cup squad, which was highly documented.

This was all down to the keeper’s form, and now having made a permanent switch, Hart can finally focus on making his mark again and therefore push to be regarded as one of England’s top men in-between-the-sticks – and therefore could mean the keeper will be in inspired form against Southampton at the weekend.
