Ryan Bertrand

The left-back’s defining moment was of course his goal, which was his first in 16 months. Despite being sent off just under 30 minutes later, it was Hojbjerg who provided the assist, when his teasing ball rolled all the way across the box back to the 18-yard line only to be absolutely thumped into the top corner by the captain.

Bertrand also won three aerial duels which was good to see against a physical Foxes side, as well as making two interceptions as well.

Whether it be because he is relishing the regular role of captain or because his England snub was a humbling experience, Bertrand seems a lot more focused and interested this campaign in comparison to what we saw under Pellegrino. His attacking intensity down the left flank and his desire to push past Nathan Redmond down that wing was impressive.
