This evening Southampton travel to the AMEX Stadium hoping that their Carabao Cup form can be better than their league form, having not won in three PL matches.

Brighton meanwhile have already recorded a memorable and deserved win over Manchester United, although those three points remain their only ones on the board having lost to both Watford and Liverpool either side of their meeting with the Red Devils.

The Saints meanwhile will be desperate to win against the Seagulls this evening – they come into the midweek clash having suffered narrow back-to-back losses at the hands of Everton and Leicester, and are yet to record a competitive win this season.

Mark Hughes is expected to rotate meaning supporters are hopeful they’ll see Manolo Gabbiadini, Matt Targett and Angus Gunn all get the nod, with the latter having yet to make his first appearance for the club following the impressive form of Alex McCarthy.

Chris Hughton will likely bring a few fresh faces as well having played the Reds as recently as Saturday – so who could cause Southampton damage this evening?
