Jurgen Locadia

Another player yet to make a major impact this season who could rotate into the starting XI tonight, Jurgen Locadia was once the Seagulls’ record signing after joining from PSV for £14 million in January.

However the surprising form of the veteran Glenn Murrary has kept the Dutch attacker on the bench, meaning he’ll be itching to make his mark if he’s given the nod tonight. It’s unlikely that Murray, 34, will able to play twice in such quick succession meaning his 24-year-old deputy will likely get his chance.

Locadia is a strong forward but also possesses great dribbling skills which make him a threat when balls are pinged into him in the box – he’ll be aware which Southampton defenders lack that physical edge and this could leave Angus Gunn or McCarthy with a lot of work to do in goal.
