Although Dusan Tadic was the only player sold by Southampton over the summer, three high profile players were allowed to depart for a season on loan.

Jordy Clasie, Sofiane Boufal and Guido Carrillo are all playing in top divisions across Europe this season. While it remains unclear if any of them will make another appearance in a Saints shirt, their performances at the temporary clubs should still be of interest to fans.

None of the three set the Premier League alight in their time at Southampton. And although Boufal and Clasie had their positive moments in a Saints shirt, few fans will worry about their exclusion from the squad this season.

However, a good season at a high profile location will improve a player, add to his value, and attract interest from other parties should Saints want to cash in next summer.

So how have each of them started the season at their respective clubs?
