Southampton will play Leicester City in the last-16 of the Carabao Cup after beating Everton on penalties yesterday.

With the scores level at 1-1 and no extra-time in the competition anymore, a fairly eventful shoot-out ended with Southampton Full-Back Cedric striking home the winning spot-kick.

Mark Hughes made six changes for this game and gave five players a chance to right the wrongs of the 2-0 loss at Wolves last Saturday.

Young goalkeeper Angus Gunn impressed as he made his second start for the club, whilst Danny Ings scored his fourth goal of the season.

With that winning feeling back, could this result produce a much-needed boost ahead of a tricky test against Chelsea on Sunday?
