Midfielders

Mario Lemina – Midfielder – 7.5

Lemina was part of a midfield unit that was able to restrict their opposition, whilst creating the occasional chance at the other end. Lemina ticks the team effort box this week, if not the one for individual brilliance.

Mohamed Elyounoussi – Midfielder – 6.5

it was a middling to fair afternoon for Elyounoussi. The Norwegian didn’t do anything heinous but nor did he truly influence the game. Redmond may not have had his best game, but he had Elyounoussi beat in his willingness to take the game on.

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg – Midfielder – 8.5

The trip down to Dorset proved to be a good one for the Danish man as he again ranks as one of Saints’ top performers.

Højbjerg not only tested the keeper with a clever looping shot, but also provided a fantastic pinpoint pass for Austin, who couldn’t find the shot to match the good build-up play. The midfielder is building a consistent body of work this season, and his awakening as an attacking threat can only be a good thing for the side.

Nathan Redmond – Midfielder – 7

Redmond once again showed endeavor while looking to get forward at pace. Unfortunately, though, the end product didn’t quite arrive on this occasion. The number 22, looked to attack the opposition but, struggle to make the killer move that would unlock the cherries.
