Can Saints stop the rut?

After three straight losses in the league, it is important that Saints find a way to start getting results.

They currently sit in 16th place and have perhaps been fortunate that the teams below them haven’t been able to pick up points either.

Games against Bournemouth in recent seasons have provided a boost for the team. During the last campaign, a 2-1 win at St Mary’s in April proved to be crucial for Premier League survival.

Under Claude Puel in 2016/17, Saints were able to record a 3-1 victory away from home with Jay Rodriguez bagging a brace.

If they are to win today though, they must make sure to take advantage of their strong periods in the game and also put their opponents under as much pressure as possible without letting the performance drop.
