The Saints march into Manchester looking to break their goalless drought against the defending champions, Manchester City.
After another scoreless-draw last week against 20th place Newcastle, Saints find themselves facing a much tougher opponent who are on the exact opposite end of the table. Pep’s side have seem to regain their form over the past few matches and looking more and more like the team that captured 100 points just a season ago.
In his pre-match press conference, the Spanish Manager complimented Southampton in saying, “I am impressed with the quality Southampton have in the middle and at the front. They have huge talent and are so deep and so physical. It is so complicated to beat them. We must be sharp and move well and be clever.”
Many Saints supporters on twitter seem to wonder if he has been watching the same Saints side they have. Guardiola, whether he truly meant it or was just being humble, has the tools to dismantle the visiting side on Sunday and here are a few of the players that will be looking to make an impact.
