Danny Ings

Not everyone was keen on the transfer deadline day move for Ings in the summer, but he has proved to be a great addition ahead of his eventual £20m permanent transfer.

He has five goals so far this season after notching four times in the Premier League and once in the Carabao Cup and has added more threat to the Saints attack overall.

Whilst the way that Mark Hughes’ side are playing isn’t ideal and has only produced one league win, Ings’ average of three shots per game shows that there is now a focal point to work around up-front.

Saints will certainly miss his presence if he is to have an extended time out with injury after hobbling off again Watford last weekend.
