Southampton prove they still can’t defend, but more than deserve their share of the 2-2 draw with Manchester United.
If Robert Louis Stevenson’s Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde could be translated into a football match, then the Saints VS the Devils would be the perfect embodiment of the being’s wildly contrasting personalities.
In just one half of football Mark Hughes’ side went from playing attractive threatening football, with sublime finishing, to a defensive horror show that wouldn’t look too far out of place on a Sunday league pitch.
As per usual, the Saints took the lead, and then the Saints lost the lead. Despite the usual sins, the team put in a collective shift to pick up a bonus point against a poor United side.
