Southampton, with the new manager looking on, put on a shaky performance with a few bright spots in a 3-1 defeat to Spurs in Wembley.

In a game, that Southampton were never really in due to some bad luck and great saves by Lloris, some players put in performances that should impress the new skipper, Hasehuttl, who was looking on from the stands.

At this point Nathan Redmond and Pierre-Emili Hojbjerg have proved themselves week in and week out. They are the future of this team, along with Lemina, Armstrong, and Ings, and these players will be the reason we ultimately stay up this season. But, like any team, it takes more than 5 players to secure safety. It will come down to the support players and players who can step in when one or more go down with injury.

So with that said, here are three players we have not really seen play this season who showed they have a role to play if the Saints are to survive relegation again and blossom under Hasenhuttl.
