Tottenham 3-1 Southampton: Premier League – Player Ratings

Southampton looked bright going forwards but poor defensively in their 3-1 loss to Spurs at Wembley yesterday evening.

The Saints hit the frame of Hugo Lloris’s goal on three separate occasions but gave the hosts a helping hand with Harry Kane, Lucas Moura and Son Hueng-min goals.

Kelvin Davis took charge of the team for the evening and the players will have been motivated to put in good shifts to impress the watching Ralph Hasenhuttl.

The game will have certainly highlighted the main areas that need to be worked on by the new boss as he looked to get the club out of danger.

Saturday’s game against Cardiff is arguably more vital than this one and will give a better indication of where the side are.
