As someone once said, ‘repeating the same action while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity’, Tottenham Vs Southampton went some way to confirming this old expression.

Kelvin Davis’s first and likely only game as Southampton manager saw his team, struggle to defend from half decent set pieces, the confidence to play football when the game is well and truly gone, and the excruciating inability to be clinical in front of goal.

This is not new to most Saints fans, but to the incoming gaffer sat in the Wembley stands, this display will have made for some uncomfortable viewing at times.
