Dayot Upamecano

The same Mirror article (cited by HITC) has Saints interested in signing RB Leipzig Centre-Back Dayot Upamecano.

The French Under-21 international also played under Hasenhuttl after joining Leipzig from Red Bull Salzburg in 2017.

A move for the 20-year-old would require a considerable offer though as he is seen as a players of great potential.

Despite his tender years, he has made 69 Bundesliga appearances to date and is a regular in Leipzig’s defence.
