James Ward Prowse, Left Centre-Midfielder – 6.5

Took the captain band in place of suspended Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg.  Was very active, but sloppy in possession, and we expect more out of his set pieces.  Wrestled the ball away from Cedric and hit the wall, hip-high on maybe the best chance of the match.  Worth noting it was pretty much the exact position Cedric scored from against Manchester United.

Oriol Romeu, Right Centre-Midfielder – 7.5

Critical in breaking up quick Chelsea attacks.  Proved to be a warrior again, taking a knock to the back of his head in the 24th minute, but remained unfazed.  Fought right up until the final whistle and has proven his worth to the new manager.

Stuart Armstrong, Attacking-Midfielder – 6.5

Very little for the front three to do, and he was the only starter to test the Chelsea keeper.  Shows desire, effort, and hard work.  Looking like the new Steven Davis with more striking ability.

Nathan Redmond, Attacking-Midfielder – 6

It felt like he did more defending than attacking tonight.  Wasn’t given the opportunity to run at defenders, and did not produce a cross or shot on goal.  Still, needs to be applauded for defensive effort.
