Southampton had to settle for a home replay after drawing 2-2 with Derby County in the FA Cup yesterday.

Changes were made by both Frank Lampard and Ralph Hasenhuttl ahead of the game but it was certainly Saints’ game to win after going 2-0 ahead through Nathan Redmond’s brace.

However, Derby struck back with two goals of their own from Jack Marriott and Tom Lawrence to ensure a decider at St Mary’s.

Whilst it means an extra game for Saints to contend with in January, a decent cup run and morale-boosting results can only help them to turn their Premier League campaign around.
