Thiago Mendes

The second player linked with the Saints is Lille midfielder, Thiago Mendes. They face some competition in signing him as it is also rumored Everton and PSG are after the Brazilian.

Mendes, is a defensive midfielder who is very comfortable working out of the back. He is a great passer and can launch attacks from deeper in the field with his precise passing.

He would be a good buy, especially if the Saints are unable to hang onto Mario Lemina this January.
