Southampton vs Everton: Premier League – Opposition Threats

Southampton host Everton at St Mary’s this afternoon and will be hoping to get more points on the board to keep themselves outside the relegation zone.

This fixture last season saw Saints win 4-1 with the Toffees still looking for a new manager to take over from the sacked Ronald Koeman.

Although six places and 11 points separate the two sides ahead of today’s meeting, it looks to be an intriguing clash after the upturn in form shown by Saints under Ralph Hasenhuttl.

Inconsistency has been Everton’s issue this season but they are certainly capable of causing problems at St Mary’s; a 5-1 victory at Burnley recently highlighting this in particular.

Here is a look at three of the biggest threats from the visiting side:
