Southampton: Three intriguing transfer developments for Saints

Southampton fans will be anxiously waiting until January’s transfer deadline day to see if their club will be doing any more business.

No incoming players have been seen yet but midfielder Steven Davis and striker Manolo Gabbiadini both left for Rangers and Sampdoria respectively.

Plenty of links to players have materialised, with the Bundesliga being a particular source of interest considering Ralph Hasenhuttl’s background in Germany.

The Austrian has also spoken about the need to bring in players for the long-term and not just for a short-term fix.

As it is, Saints have had a great upturn in form under his management with four wins coming against Arsenal, Huddersfield, Leicester and Everton.
