Jason Dodd

Dodd proved to be a bargain buy for Saints as he moved from Bath City to the Dell in 1989.

He cost just £68k and went on to play consistently for the club for the next 16 years.

Overall, Dodd made 357 appearances for Saints and was a reliable presence at full-back – popping up with 10 goals in his time on the south coast.

Since retiring from playing in 2006, he had held a coaching role with Saints as he worked alongside Paul Williams as the club’s Under-18s coach before leaving in 2014.
