Welcome to Saints Marching’s January transfer window roundtable discussion, where five of our contributors give their views on Southampton’s dealings so far.

No players have been signed by Saints yet, whilst some of the fringe players from the squad have been cleared out to refine Ralph Hasenhuttl’s options.

Despite the lack of incomings, rumours and even genuine links will continue to fly around up until Thursday’s transfer deadline at 11pm UK time.

In the the next three slides, contributors Alastair Case, Joe McIndoe, Harry Tizard join site experts Marc Walker and Ryan Borowski to talk through Saints’ window so far, whether the current squad can avoid relegation and which players they would like to see arrive before Thursday evening.

It has been interesting viewing from a fans perspective and the mood has been lifted under Hasenhuttl, so read on to see what our writers think!
