Southampton gained another point on their way to Premier League safety with a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace yesterday evening.

It wasn’t a great performance from Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men but a strong final 15 minutes saw James Ward-Prowse arrive perfectly into the box and net the equaliser.

Crystal Palace had produced a dangerous, counter-attacking performance and had gone ahead through star man Wilfried Zaha.

However, the game would end on a sour note for the winger after he was sent off following a late tangle with Ward-Prowse.

Saints now sit four points outside the relegation zone with two more important games upcoming against Burnley and Cardiff.
