Manager, Goalkeeper and Defenders

Ralph Hasenhuttl, Manager – 8

Named an unchanged side from the win against Everton and changed systems in the final stages of the match to help his side grab a point.

Alex McCarthy, Goalkeeper – 6

Has been superb in the last year but may just need a confidence boost to avoid hesitancy shown when looking to claim crosses in this game.

Yan Valery, Right Wing-Back – 7

A tough night up against Zaha but did well on a couple of occasions to get early challenges in on the winger.

Jan Bednarek, Centre-Back – 7.5

Yet another superb goal-line clearance to stop Mamadou Sakho from doubling Palace’s lead. This and a similar effort against Everton last time out are as big as scoring two goals at the other end.

Jack Stephens, Centre-Back – 7

Not a lot of passing options on as he made some of his striding runs out of defence but battled on throughout the game.

Jannik Vestergaard, Centre-Back – 6.5

A fairly quiet game and went off for Elyounoussi with Saints searching for an equaliser. One dangerous cross that almost produced a first-half chance.

Matt Targett, Left Wing-Back – 6.5

Decent cutback from Ward-Prowse to equalise but may well lose his place in the side when Ryan Bertrand returns to match fitness.
