Forwards and Substitutes

Danny Ings, Striker – 6

Not involved as much as he would have liked but showed some good feet at times, particularly as he set up Hojbjerg for a shot in the first period.

Nathan Redmond, Second-Striker – 6.5

Plenty of endeavour to try and create something but couldn’t find the gaps he wanted against a stubborn Palace backline.

Stuart Armstrong, 1st Substitute – 7

Lively in the final stages and unlucky not to bag a late winner with a powerful strike that was superbly blocked by a Palace defender.

Callum Slattery, 2nd Substitute – 5.5

On for Hojbjerg after the Dane was booked and had a cut head and didn’t have too many opportunities to get into the game.

Mohamed Elyounoussi, 3rd Substitute – 5.5

Thrown on as an additional attacker to search for the equaliser. Not too involved but his presence helped create space for Ward-Prowse’s goal.
