Midfielder- Nathan Redmond- 8
Nathan Redmond once again showed his class, with an excellently taken goal. After receiving the pass from Bednarek, the number 22 finds himself in space and ready to take on the opposition. After Jinking the ball past an impeding defender, the England man fires home from outside the area.
Although, he only converted once, Redmond found the space on more than one occasion and look good going forward.
Midfielder-Oriol Romeu- 7.5
Southampton held the Midfield relatively well throughout the afternoon and Romeu went about his business relatively trouble-free.
Midfielder-Stuart Armstrong- 7
Nothing much to report from the Midfielder’s afternoon. If you were to put together a personal highlight real for Stuart Armstrong you would have a tough task. That doesn’t mean he had a bad game, just a quiet one.
The Scott did give the ball away on a couple of occasions, but overall it wasn’t a bad performance.
Midfielder-Callum Slattery- 7.5
while making his first start in the Premier League, Slattery had a decent day at the office. Even as Burnley gained traction in the match the Saints Midfield never looked overrun.
