Strikers and Substitutes

Striker- Danny Ings- 6

The Englishman’s afternoon was over a lot quicker than he would have liked. Ings lasted less than half an hour before being withdrawn due to injury.

Before his day ended the number nine did at least force one excellent save from Tom Heaton.

1st Substitute -Yan Valery- 7.5

Serving as JWP’s replacement, the young Frenchman put in a solid body of work. Valery has shown his inexperience at times this season, but his trip to Lancashire was a positive one. The Right Back didn’t put a foot wrong and made the right decisions when called upon.

2nd Substitute- Shane Long- 6.5

called into action just before the half an hour mark, Long didn’t offer much by way of attacking threat.

3rd Substitute- Charlie Austin-NA

With just three minutes left, Austin didn’t have time to work. With that said, it’s pleasing to see that Charlie is still at the club, following the closure of the January transfer window.
