Oriol Romeu

Romeu continues to impress as the anchor of the Southampton team. His #6 role, which is in constant flux due to game tactics and substitutions can easily be overlooked. However, it is incredibly vital to the team’s success. Even more importantly, it is the way he goes about his job. With confidence and without nerves, which appears to be a major issue for the team as they go forward.

Without Romeu it is unsure where the team would be right now. It is also hard to imagine a starting eleven without him in the future. He continues to accumulate yellow cards, which is expected in the role he plays. Although with another strong performance, it is easy to argue for him being one of the most underrated players in the league right now.
