Nathan Redmond, Striker – 6.5

A little off colour in the first-half but got more chances to drive at the Fulham defence with the ball in the second period.

His shot across goal led to Ward-Prowse bundling home the team’s second shortly before half-time and almost created a third goal when involved in a clever set-piece.

Charlie Austin, Striker – 6.5

Ran and chased all evening whilst doing as much as he could to hold the ball up front for Saints.

Unlucky to have a goal chalked off for a foul on Rico, who threw himself to the floor early on.

Shane Long, 1st Substitute – 6

On in place of the tiring Austin to provide some pace and running in behind. One shot that flew across the face of goal.
