Saints 1-0 Spurs, 2003/04 Premier League

This game was memorable for Rory Delap’s acrobatic winning goal in the 64th minute.

Claus Lundekvam headed the ball across the box to the midfielder who was waiting by the penalty spot and Delap flung himself into the air to plant a superb overhead kick into the roof of the net.

Saints would end the season in 12th position in the Premier League table and two points above Spurs in 14th.

However, the following campaign proved a real struggle and saw them relegated from the top-flight for the first-time in 27 years.
