Manager, Goalkeeper and Defenders

Ralph Hasenhuttl, Manager – 8

Recognised that his side had struggled in the first-half and made changes that swung momentum in the game by introducing Sims and Long.

A refreshing connection with both his players and the fans has clearly helped so far.

Angus Gunn, Goalkeeper – 7

A couple of decent saves to deny Kane and Eriksen and claimed the ball well at the end when Saints needed it.

Yan Valery, Right Wing-Back – 7

Another goal for the young Frenchman who arrived perfectly to bundle home an important equaliser for his side.

Jan Bednarek, Centre-Back – 7

12 clearances throughout the game (according to whoscored.com). More comfortable when Saints became more composed in the second-half.

Maya Yoshida, Centre-Back – 6

Lucky not to divert the ball into his own net from a Kane cross in the first-half. Communication amongst the back-four must be better when under pressure.

Jannik Vestergaard, Centre-Back – 6.5

Looked a little sluggish in the first-half as the Spurs attack caused havoc. Grew into the game with his team though and made some important clearances late on.

Ryan Bertrand, Left Wing-Back – 6

Not his best day but an experienced head in this defining period for Saints.
